Like MacArthur -- I have returned...

I played a good bit of SH3 a couple of years ago, but wandered off into other games (when family and work allowed me time to even game). But now, I'm not getting hooked on Matrix Games' Threat of War (like I thought I would be), want to stay away from the too-addictive WoW for a while, and am reading Clay Blair's volumes on the U-Boat War.

So... I've got a hankering for some good old SH3.

I think I'll load it up on my new machine tonight, download the mods, and give go out on patrol.

Anything new in the last couple of years? I played GWX before -- any other good mods you recommend? I'm hoping for a better experience on my new machine now.

gwx3.0 (gold)... is out now...the last i think before moving on to sh4 or 5

have a look at the top of your page in the " Downloads" section. plenty of mods here!!!.

as usual its trial and error :rotfl::rotfl: but youl get there in the end

The refit has taken a bit longer than the yard anticipated (those GWX files are large), then I was sidetracked by some previously-planned family leave and some unplanned family medical issues.

Now I'm struggling through the academy again -- my, my skills got rusty.

But I have one serious question:
When playing, should my drink of choice be a pilsner or some schnapps?
