Going barmy... just reinstalled SH3 GWX3 after being months elsewhere, and want to put German voices on again ( I love when the young lad says 'vasserbomben', makes me want to hug him and tell him its only a game 'cos he sounds so scared), but I can't find where to do it - change the spoken language I mean - and my mind has gone a complete blank ( 'so wots new' I hear my best beloved murmur)

you can switch languages in the main menu.

If i understud correctly you lunch the game and then select options: it will show texts language: English VOICES LANGUAGE: GERMAN Keyboard language: English then select apply...

Vickers it isn't REAL German, it is a spoof message in pidgin which essentially asks visitors to keep their hands in their pockets and just watch the pretty lights blinking. My hubs (an engineer for Plessey Marine) used to have it on the wall of his office .

I started one, but Red Heat advised I download the Thomsens voice mods, which I have done, so I suppose I will have to start a fresh career if I put that on.

Perhaps you will know - if I put that mod on, will it replace the voice of the scared lad saying 'vasserbomben' when the depth charges go in? I want to keep that one...

Like any mod, there are those who prefer one or another......you may want to give it a try, but personally speaking I don't see the need for such a large mod when the sounds that come with GWX are perfectly ample.

Just my own opinion of course.

But any how if you dont like the sound mod...you simple for the next time you finnish your war patrol, and end the game, you make a rollback and open JSGME and disable the the sound mod, simple, no? lol

i changed mine to german:-? but after 1 mission i had to change it back that alarm clock bell was driving me nuts it seems to be attached to everything i did speed up/ down surface dive go to the bog even was hearing it in my sleep.:damn:
