Hi all,
I've just upgraded from my dead desktop to a new laptop (which I need for work travel), and I'm having some noticeable mouse lag when I play SH4.
The laptop is a refurbished Dell Inspiron 1545 with the following specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (P8700 @2.53GHz)
Vista Home Premium 32-bit
4 GB RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 256MB, medium settings
All drivers up to date
System pretty well stripped down for game performance
The mouse is a wireless one, and the lag is especially noticeable when selecting option on the torpedo computers. Moving the peri around, however, shows only a little lag. The worst lag of all, strangely enough, occurs in the menu screens for graphics and gameplay options.
I don't get lag in other games. CMSF, for instance, runs like a dream even with huge maps loaded. (I haven't tried any FPS games yet.)
Is there a particular problem with laptops or wireless mice with SH4? Is there something I can do?
Thanks for any advice!
