GO!
I go to a public school, mostly of the white ethnicity but has some blacks and there are frequent fights. Everyone has dressing expectations (ex: Guys have to tuck shirts in girls must wear "appropriate" dresses no see through shirts etc.)
Have alot of rednecks at the school, which its located in Smiths, Alabama so no wonder..have about 5-10 Sheriffs/Alabama State Troopers at the school because alot of students (11th-12th graders)go excessive speed on the road and bring drugs (mainly tobacco and marijuana) to the school.

I went to a private Catholic high school in central California. In my four years of attendance, I think I remember maybe one or two fights ever. We had no security officers, no metal detectors or whatnot, and a strict dress code of white polo shirts (tucked in of course), blue or green sweaters and khaki shorts or slacks. The student body was mostly white and hispanic.

Safety and security just wasn't an issue. :know:

I just graduated from a private catholic school.

We had mostly whites, there was only table that had blacks, 2 with Asians, and like 5 with Hispanics.

We had a uniform; blazer, white buttoned shirt, slacks, and tie.

We have had some fights, the kids were kicked out no questions asked*. Some arguments almost turned into fights, then a dean would show up with a wooden stick and verbally destroy them lol.

Good school! best 3 years of my life so far.

*my school is well known for having the gottis and their cousins, last year, a gotti(freshman) decided it was a good idea to curse at a senior. After the senior told the kid to stand down. Gotti attemptd to move on the seniors girlfriend. This did not go well. The senior got mad, the gotti said "you can hurt me, I'm a Gotti" The senior said "yes you are but your fathers in jail" The Gotti punched him, the senior threw a chair at his face and chased him out of the school. It was a fun free period.

I went to a public high school where the dress code was free, but enforced, no short skirts, spaghetti straps, et cetera.
Fights were not frequent, but were about and active, there was one every 2-3 weeks.
We have stoners, they don't care if they admit it, but none of them are stupid enough to bring drugs to school.
The cheerleaders are annoying, the football players held all the power in the world, the principal was fat, the goths were soft spoken but fierce fighters.*
Typical midwestern high school. :D

* There was a fight involving a black "gangsta" kid and a goth friend of mine, who that day was wearing a slayer shirt :) the two got in an arguement over music (with the gangsta saying emo people should cut themselves in the places where it counts:nope:) and my friend grabbed this black kid by the popped collar and tossed him through a safety glass window, then proceeding to pound his face into the floor.
it was a good day to be a metal fan:smug:

When I went to Catholic School, back in the day, we had fights aswell. The priests/brothers used to watch from the sidelines and let the pathos of life play out. Looking back now it seems the correct thing to do. Lessons were taught during those fierce and very brief exercises of testosterone laden battles. No knives or guns, just your wits and physical prowess. I learned the lesson well he who is most aggressive wins.

In my opinion we need more of this.......lessons taught ......than less.

Hmm... how to explane the pain in the a** I go to now...

the race population is highly black, next in line comes whites, and the rest fall after that...

Well... I can say its a big school... and we have lots of fights..., and food fights are frequent... (seems to be a black that starts most of them.)

its pretty mutch your generic high school...

I went to Terra Nova High School in Pacifica Ca during the 80's.. I would say it was about 75 percent white and 25 percent hispanic/asian /and a few blacks.

Race was never a problem..I think because we all grew up together , same elementary school/middle school and just knowing each other.

At that time Pacifica was a "starter town" meaning every one there was poor and there parents were first time home buyers.

My mom payed 30k for our house and now that entire neighbood hood is worth around 800k a home. The original buyers have moved out /sold out and or died and there kids (ME) have moved on.

OH yeah...the school...the best school environment ever..i use to wear flip-flops and wife beaters to school and there was never a problem with gangs.

We just all got along .
