View Full Version : data/Textures/TLowRes/tex ?
Had to do a reinstall , and have a possible snag :
Should there be any files in data/Textures/TLowRes/tex ?? :88)
Thanks all.-
If it's the stock game you're talking about, then yes, there should be files there.

Hi all,
I've returned to SH3/GWX. I've installed it on my Asus G73J with Windows 7 64, and an ATI mobility 5800.
I installed GWX 3.0 gold and the hi-res fix, to run the game at 1400 x 1050.
I'm having a texture problem - the sub textures (like the deck below your feet on the bridge) are insanely low-res (are there even textures there...?), and likewise on the other parts of the boat. There are textures on the wood paneling, but it also looks low res.
The game is set to use high quality textures, and i've played around with my graphics card AA, anistropic, and mipmap settings, to no avail.
I noticed that my textures/TlowRes directory has 75.3 mb (as stated in the above posts), but my TNormal directory is empty. I get the feeling this might be the problem? Any idea why I wouldn't have files in my high-res textures directory?

No problem at all...they were put there to keep system requirements as low as possible.
try this, copy the hi res files into the low res folder and run game, in low textures, leave density at 90 percent, works on my low end machine the only thing isanely low res is the sound room. matter of fact I'm running it now.

Not sure what happened guys...i'm now getting 'high' res textures...not sure what changed. I've tried to play around with settings to get back my low res textures, just to see why that happened but can't figure it out. Anyway, reasonably happy now:)
