View Full Version : Sea Lance Picture
I'm developing a sub sim for the iPhone. It's coming along, but I cannot find an image of a Sea Lance anywhere! The only one I have seen is a fuzzy black & white that looks like something from a 50s sci fi poster.
I've all the specs I need, but no picture. I'd like to get a clear side view of the sub variant from 1985 or so. Help anyone?
probably the pic you allready got but who knows..

Its the only pic i found after 15 minutes of searching,my guess its the only pic so i tried some books i own,to no avail..
Bear in mind this project was cancelled in 1990,so most real pictures must be classified cause its the only one i can find, also in my books...no internet back then so nothing was ever uploaded.
You could switch to asroc pictures, but i dont know what you need a picture for,is it for an weapon selection button or something?
Thanks for trying. I appreciate it. That is the only image I found as well.
It's for loading the torpedo tubes. Sliding the image into the tubes.I just made my own based on that image. I figure no one else knows what one looks like, it won't make much difference if I fake it.
Thanks again for trying!

If it is for sliding into the tube then try this:

It's the Sea Lance in its submarine launch capsule.
Yep that would be the loading cannister, you could use that.
Or try an Asroc picture, there's not much difference in design of the outer casing..
And your welcome:up:
Yes, it is for sliding into the tube. I did find that one as well but it looks like, well, a tube. I imagine the tomahawk and sea lance look pretty much the same prelaunch.
I just created my own based on the drawing discussed above. If there is anyone hardcore enough to dispute my conceptulization, then I'm sure they'll have a photo/drawing to prove it. I somehow doubt that'll happen.
Thanks again.
