So I've been playing SH4 with RSRD for a while now, and I really like it. But I've been having one particular issue that I need some help with. I get a message saying that heavy IJN units are departing from Truk to Home waters, and fortunately, my patrol has me within range to intercept. However, once I make radar or sonar contact with the convoy, it seems that they engage in a battle, because I get a few "ship sunk" indicators on the map. As I move into position, without fail, the game crashes. Its happened five or six times now, and its really frustrating.
Is there anything that can be done?

I've been getting something similar when the game is moving a lot of ships around, whether I'm anywhere near or not. I'm guessing it uses a lot of pc power so that it's open for me to interact with. Then I overload the system by going into external view and get "APPCRASH".
When the TC goes reallly stuttery is a warning I guess.
Maybe you just need more RAM, or close other apps.

Crash could be a million things.
But as for the "ship sunk" I have had that happen while testing missions because I use TC to approach so it doesn't take all night. In TC the escorts detect you and then the ships will start to zigzag and often (depending on the spacing set up) sometime 'crash' into each other.
Another thing I have seen is them being attacked by planes. So if there is a friendly carrier in the area or you are close to an airbase when you encounter them, they may be getting sunk by planes. I would suspect planes usually as the reason.

Doubt it's your system, probably mod related. You are patched currrent?
Drivers updated, blah blah.......
Could you list your system specs and your mods in the order they are loaded. Easy way to show mods using jsgme, task, export activated mods...., OK, you can copy and paste that list. If you're playing just RSRD, what version is it.

RSRDC_RFBv15_V421
Office Links and Info Boxes Mod
are the only mods I'm using, and I've patched up to v1.4
My system has 2 GB of processing and 3 GB of RAM with an Nvidia 9300M card. I don't think its the system though. I'm running the game at the highest resolution, so maybe that could be an issue? Cause I remember certain issues with SH3 that were related to playing at a high resolution. Let me know.
