game crashes and i lose all my saves??

hi there

had the game crash on me a couple of times recently. (once was my fault, i had to go out. my wife wanted to check her email so she saved the game whilst enemy destroyers were in view). the next time was unexpected and not my fault.

anyhow i can cope with the odd crash. but when i returned to the game each time i discovered ALL of my saves had been wiped!???! is this normal?? it cant be surely?? what am i doing wrong?

Check in My Documents > SH3

You'll find your game saves there, it's just that SH3 can't read them.

Fix it by renaming the saves, for example change:

WeeBubba to WeeBubbaX

The game should now display them at the load screen.

the wife was told in no uncertain terms not to go near my computer again whilst silent hunter is paused.

which would be fine except she never listens to me anyway

Buy her a cheap laptop, what I finally had to do...or if you have a kid with xbox, she can use that.
