Yes, this is really insane !!

Every 96 link to filefront that I had in my favorites for D/L of subsim members files are broken. Instead I get filefront home page.

Also now I'm totally unable to connect and D/L any file at Filefront when a member of subsim gives a link in a post to his D/L page ( or any other member's page actually ). I get the same message as in above mentionned posts.
The only thing I can do, is go to the D/L section of Subsim and try to find the bloody file, whatever file it is, and take 10 to 15 mn of my time, if I ever find it.

Those people at filefront are really taking the **** out of us all. I think we should send them a collective complain against their " We don't give a damn about you " attitude.

I posted this post above in a previous thread.

Having lost all the 96 links that I had of Subsim members D/L pages at filefront :damn: I would need a new direct link address ( at Filefront, Bts or else ) for their D/L page. I think it would be good that everyone does that, but that's not for myself only.
So that way everyone would know where to go for each individual Subsim member, when he needs to see or search for all files created or hosted by one same person.
For those having all their files at Subsim D/L, just mention "Subsim", hopefully we know how to get there. :haha:

OK true we need a reliable place, but I don't think that anyone can host sooooooo many mods that are available for SH3.

Of course it is possible, but most free hosts don't let you to have large GB to TBites. Even paid hosts don't like the huge traffic, probably that's why bts-mods.com has been suspended and now gone forever.

Maybe the best thing would be to make a correct list of mods that are compatible with a supermod.

Example:

GWX 3.0
All mods (the best ones) and leave the rest out.

Jimbuna could make such a complete correct list, he's from the "old school" and know from his experience which mods are suitable. :up:

Rafeal : Or, as I said earlier, Make a sticky, and and have a list of all members that have files uploaded here and there mentioning a ( working ) link to their upload page.
Of course it would have to be kept up to date. That is, anyone noticing a broken link for someones files upload page, would have to report the fact...

Super mods, those mods that are compatable and their suitability is purely a matter of choice to each individual.

One mans meat can quite easily become another mans poison.

I am more than happy to continue to advise community members on GWX related matters....but anything relating to other mods is solely a matter for those whose work it is.
