I am curious as to why you want to know.
I bring it up because different needs have different requirements.
Want to be legally insane during the commission of a crime? That requires a mindset in which you lose the ability to rationally consider what society views as right or wrong.
Want to be insane so you can be committed? Threaten bodily harm to yourself.
Etc Etc...

I have witnessed through practical experience that the truly insane cannot be assed through mere observation.
Fore to most eyes they appear to be quite in control of thier faculties and indeed within reason.
Charles Manson would be an example, Adolf Hitler another.
Rational thoughts to one may seem quite insane to another.
But yes... why this querie ?

A friend of mines cousin rubbed excretment all over himself wearing only a open topcoat and stood in an intersection in front of the Hospital.
I understood it worked. :haha:
Definatly not the most dignified way to get in the Nuthouse.
Hope I have been in some small way of help.

I thought it's relatively easy to avoid military service in Russia. Less then 20% or so actually perform the military service. Bribes is one way, also to go to university and study. None of those in my country. :shifty:

I once had a friend who got a lot of freebies, including university tuition. He said he did it by fooling them into thinking he was insane, and needed free help. We all looked at each other and said "fooling them?"
He was actually offended when he found out we referred to his as 'Crazy Joe'.
Kapitan, I'll warn you: If people-in-high-places think you are truly insane, they will own you. You could be locked away for 'examination', and there wouldn't be a thing you could do about it. I would avoid that if at all possible.

Another way is to get yourself a shopping cart and walk around pushing it and, mumbling to yourself. And every once in awhile scream a the top of your lungs.

I'd get a copy of DSM IV (http://allpsych.com/disorders/dsm.html) and pick a syndrome and go with it.
Odd question...

Send a link to this thread to the authorities and ask them if they'll pay you for recruiting the services of willing disciples :DL

If it helps, Kapitan, I already think you're insane. :D

I thought of another way. Participate in some of the political threads in general topics and try to sway someones opinons. :rotfl:

K.P. its as simple as telling the truth so unconvincingly no one believes you.
tell them with complete and utter conviction that you are totally rational
and sane, and just keep hitting on it.:|\\
conversely you could just tell her she is right and has been all along.

It will stay in your record, and might eventually prevent you from getting a security clearance, if that's something you might be interested in one day.
Why exactly do you want to fake the crazy, tho?

Don't think that it will acutally help.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Is Orr crazy?
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): Of course he is. He has to be crazy to keep flying after all his close calls he's had.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Why can't you ground him?
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): I can, but first he has to ask me.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): That's all he's gotta do to be grounded?
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): That's all.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Then you can ground him?
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): No. Then I cannot ground him.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Aah!
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): There's a CATCH?
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): A catch?
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): Sure. Catch-22. Anyone who wants to get out of combat isn't really crazy, so I can't ground him.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Ok, let me see if I've got this straight. In order to be grounded, I've got to be crazy. And I must be crazy to keep flying. But if I ask to be grounded, that means I'm not crazy anymore, and I have to keep flying.
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): You got it, that's Catch-22.
Yossarian (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000273/): Whoo... That's some catch, that Catch-22.
Dr. 'Doc' Daneeka (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0318527/): It's the best there is.

Classic stuff, and a great book although not really for all gung-ho's.
Kapitan,
I'd be interested to hear more about your predicament, if you don't mind sharing. If you really are trying to avoid service over there then there are ways.
