Next Stop 999 on 999

Having just celebrated my 888th post count :woot:, I wondered if not I could post a bit more than usual (I normally think twice before posting and I very rarely post just a smiley) to reach my next goal:

My 999th post on exactly September 9th 2009 aka 9-9-(200)9

That is just 30 days away, and 101 posts away, making it 3.3666666667 posts per day. I could start counting puppies and naming them (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115433/)....
but I guess that would probably be a bit too much of nothing.... :rotfl:

Also to consider: all those 101 posts wouldn't be made inside this thread anyway. So I may see if I find something interesting to post along the way.
For starters, I will be out of town August 17th till 29th, making it a bit more challenging. Though I will have internet access at my hotel, so I may post a few photos from my trip to Lyon, France, and maybe from the mountain in the Alps, which I plan to "conquer".....

Well, this is just a thought I throw out. As said, I will be out of town from next week, so I have tried to check up on travel insurances in case I fall down a mountain and needs a hospital plane home or something. We used to get that covered by our health care program for travels within the EU - yes, we did :yep: - but not since 2008, like in because we got a right wing government.

I know the mountain is only around 1550 meters high, but still - accidents happen. Just last week a Danish boy of 17 lost his life after his father had his picture taken at the edge of a rock. First the father stood on the rock, and right after the boy stood there to get his photo, when the rock suddenly got loose and the boy slipped backwards and dropped 50 meters or more to the ground. Sadly he died. :dead::cry: Myself, I have also got my picture taken like that before, everybody does, so what are the odds?:hmmm:

So I was about to get an annual insurance, when I discovered how expensive that really is. You need it like max 5 weeks out of 52, and they demand a fortune, those greedy bastards, and in most cases you - thank god - don't really need them, so it's easy money for them. So I was wondering if travel insurances to the entire world are expensive in your countries as well?

That would just be a weeks time to post 1002 messages, like 143 posts per day, and with an average online time of maybe 4 hours per day, that's 36 posts per hour, like in roughly 2 minutes per post, non-stop...

5th batch of photos is only a part, since I decided to make a trip to the Alps and climb a mountain, a peak with a cross, which I failed to reach many years ago, because I got lost on the mountain, used to much time to get up, only lacked a few extra meters, but I didn't bring food and since I spent 4 hours getting up and being in october and at 17h, I would need to get down fast again, so I wouldn't get stuck up there. It has tormented me for years that I never got up there, so finally being in the area, I just had to go make a try. So here's the first part of the photos from the trip...

This is my 998th post, one small step away from my original goal of reaching my 999th post on September 9th 2009 aka 9-9-9.
And what is better than to use that 998th post to show you all that I this summer finally reached another goal of mine: to reach the sommet of Mont du Nivolet, where you can find le Croix du Nivolet aka the cross of Nivolet.

So here are 3 photos of the cross, me and the cross and me with a view from the cross. Voilà. See you in about 24 hours, when I'll make my 999th post... :03:
