The MW Graphic Extender completely blew me away when I recently ran through Morrowind again.

@ subman Seen that before but its not available that's the problem. "copyrights":damn:

I wish i could try out that morroblivion though, sold Oblivion on trademe a while back. I might be wrong but I need oblivion to do the port?

If anyones interested - got Morrowind up and running with the gfx extender latest version - 3.8.0b found this one while looking for a problem i was getting with v3.3.2 that i thought was the latest version. Grab 3.8.0b & make sure your got DX9c march 2009 or higher, Net 2 or higher - saves alot of headaches!

edit:
v3.8.0b

What bugged me about Morrowind was the view distance. Might just give it another whirl, waste some more hours of my life. :yep:

I loved Morrowind back in the day! I played the Xbox version to death. I even made my own little game guide to get really good stuff at low levels. :88) If I could find the PC version I would probably get it. I'd love to see it with the better graphics.

Get the morrowind graphics extender. It completely removes the view distance. It's like playing a whole new game :yeah:

Either that or that "morroblivion". Problem is I have a ton of games that demand attention (Oblivion, for one, those dungeons look gorgeous) and more new releases on the way. IF I hit a gaming dry spell, I just might revisit Morrowind. :)

Despite the countless hours I poured into it, I never even beat Dagoth Ur; got tired of stalking Red Mountain before I got that far and got distracted by other titles. :(

Syxx, if you can't find it, I can still get the English GOTY hardcopy here for 5 euros. Doubt shipping would be very expensive. :hmmm:

This is a good place for Morrowind players/mod users that are pulling their gcopy out of the drawer and blowing the dust off. It's a guide for the more up to date mods.

Oh, I'd recommend it, Morrowind is a great game.

So is Oblivion IMO, but that's another matter.

I already have Oblivion and the add-ons. (though I found them weak)

Having played Morrowind since its release, I was extremely disappointed with Oblivion. Graphics-wise, it's pretty (aside from the mongoloid looking faces on people) but in terms of content, it's like a step backwards from Morrowind.

More playable factions, player skills and a world that doesn't feel like someone just hit a "generate random terrain" button, fewer vanilla dungeons...it's just flat out a better game.

Looking at those vids reminded me of something: it's not the graphics that make me want to play Morrowind again, it's the music. I loved the music in Morrowind.

I still always copy the exploration music from Morrowind to Oblivion's music folder.

Heck, sometimes I'll even just play it as some background music if I'm working on something. :yep:

I wish I could do that. I loved the Morrowind theme. It always sent shivers up my spine. I like the Oblivion music, too, but it's just not as good as Morrowind's.

That's very kind of you! I'll keep my eyes open here for a while yet to see if it pops up.
