"These are nothing more than destructive efforts to interrupt a debate that we should have, and are having," Reid said. "They are doing this because they don't have any better ideas. They have no interest in letting the negotiators, even though few in number, negotiate. It's really simple: they're taking their cues from talk show hosts, Internet rumor-mongerers ... and insurance rackets."
I dont know seems to me like there tying to keep it pretty one sided.

I dont know if you have seen the news but the Unions are now sending 'representatives' into these "town hall meetings" to directly confront opposing views.
Now Ill be first to admit alot of the protesters may well be right wing nut jobs but not the majority of them. However the mix of these two factions is nothing short of explosive.
This will get very ugly indeed. It will not look good for either faction.

Don't ya just love it when elected representatives call their constituents a mob, and equating them to criminals? :nope::nope:

............with any administration!!!
The left's spin machine is in high gear trying to paint the healthcare protests happening across the country as illegitimate because they are “organized.” Amazingly and hypocritically the left is attempting to make community organizing a bad thing. Yes, all of a sudden after the last four years of their candidate and now president basing his entire campaign for president on his history as a “community organizer,” now organizing in your community makes you a brown-shirted, hatemonger paid off by shadowy GOP bigwigs.

Yes. Hardly a new sentiment for those in power, though.
Even our founding fathers were not immune. All men are created equal, but only the landowning white guys matter.
Doubt that was a innocent oversight.:03:

Notice she said "debate", not throw a tantrum and act like a three year old child that's just been told to eat the rest of her carrots, which is precisely what these people are doing. Apparently civil discourse and debate is beyond their intellectual capabilities.

This is nothing more thuggish attempts at mob rule. Shouting down opponents is how politics is done in third world countries and it sickens and disgusts me to see it done here.
I thought hooligans were the purview of English soccer matches. Apparently not. And this is how the Republicans expect to get back in power - by portraying themselves as red-facd screaming wackjobs. Let me know how that works out for ya.

When they won't listen, the congressional litigation, there is only one thing left to do, next to outright revolt.
I have now spoken to a number of folks who voted for Mr. Obama and to a person they all wish they could take it back. That is reflected in the polls.

Well when you look at whos doing the "organizing", its the people with the most to lose financially from any kind of health care reform - the insurance and drug companies. They're playing people for fools.

I have not been contacted by any insurance company, or so called industrial giant. I look at America's pocket book and mine, my elderly parents, and Barack Obama's, and Congress's record. I will go to my local town hall when the Dem reps actually let me know when it will be and voice my opinion that health care in this nation is not broken and doesn't need to be fixed.

Perhaps you have seen this woman slapping a man who questioned the Obamacare plan yesterday. Guess what she works for a Democrat, Rep. Russ Carnahan.

I also tried to get on the AFL-CIO's website where they are advising their membership to confront the brainwashed nut jobs. Guess what... its swamped 503'd.
Either they took it off line or there an awful lot of brainwashed lockstepped nut jobs out there trying to see just what they have to say.

Seeing some of the corporate funded propaganda that's been sold to you and that you folks trot out as fact, I'd say it's not too far off to say you're being played by your corporate masters. Keep lining their pockets! They thank you!

And sometimes you have to step up and defend what is right in the face of adversity. It is about your liberty and that of your children.
