Pretty cool stuff.
That second picture down front page. With the folded wings is that an A6E ?
I thought those had been phased out.

EA-6B. No, not phased out. It is the only ECM platform the navy currently deploys from carriers. They go in ahead of an Alpha-Strike. The EA-18 Growler is expected soon.

The truly amazing thing is the Trident amd Minuteman missiles are shorter than the F-18E/F. And they can travel further and carry more punch.
How is that for perspective?

My main interest in modern warfare is the tactical overview as opposed to the strategic one....and preferably non nuclear :DL

I understand that jimbuna. But to deny the existance of existencial weapons is to deny the reality of the real world. Basically Europe will be the battle grond in any nuclear conflict. Not having the means to deterr the conflict doesn't make them any less a target. Their policies will make them a prime target, not only for the non-state actors but for states aswell.
