Saw this video some time back. Its worth a look and unusual perspective to a derailment.

Pretty sure everyone was okay but the freight was battered pretty good.

For those of you with short attention span the action starts around 1:00 in. The sight of that tanker coasting towards the traction is enough to make your sphincter tighten.

That was pretty frightening. :o The sounds those train cars make is something else! Just when you think it's over here comes the tanker and the rest of the cars for round two. :dead:

Well... that just goes to show how heavy the actual locomotive was... it didnt get sucked off...

But those hoppers got sucked off... wonder if they were empty...:hmmm:

It looks like it was hit about 3 cars back and it lifted the cars causing the wheel trucks to get out of wack. Notice the tanker doesn't have any wheels under the front.
