Hello everyone. I just installed TriggerMaru_Overhaul_17. And I love it. nice work,:salute: got a little problem tho, in the orignal game the ships were what you call {sillouttes} on the map, I liked it that way but now that I installed the TriggerMaru_Overhaul_17 mod. The ships show up as little {grease pencil} Markings? I looked and found out in the FAQ inclosed how to chang it back? It sayed to remove {_shp.dds & (*_ship.dds) . In the /data/sea directory in TMO. I did that and restarted a Practice Mission , the Convoy one.
be cause the ship i changed was the {NDD_Akizuki} Only that one just to make should it would work. And still the NDD_Akizuki is a grease pencil mark. can someone tell me if i did something wrong or how i can fix it to have back my ship sillouttes. Thanks guys .:yeah:

I did that a long time ago and I think you must uninstall the mod make the change than re install the mod.

I didn't delete the files but just changed the name by adding a Z or X. That way you can see which files you have changed and restore them by deleting the Z or X. Be sure to make a back up copy of the Data file.

Gave up ship silhouettes a short time later. They are helpful in learning manual targeting but once you get the hang of it black dots are just fine.

Hope this helps

Actually, I think if you play with the dots and realize what Ducimus was up to there (not giving you information that a real sub skipper wouldn't have), you'll like it.

If you decide you want the friend/foe/neutral colors, the silhouettes and the dancing girls back, you can download nunya's EZplot (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=152&act=down) and get all that stock plotting back again. Then you can just JSGME EZplot (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=152&act=down) out and have Ducimus' system all back again in a couple of seconds if you change your mind later.

Hello Rockin Robbins.
& thank you for that link i was playing with the dots trying to get used to them for some people that play like the were in the war and want the most realalistic as they can the grease pencil may work for them, but for me i play just to sink ships and have fun . so the link you gave me to that file i used and installed it in my mods, works like a charm my ships are back thank you very much sir:salute:. I know EVERYBODY plays how THEY want to play as it should be, some people like to be realalistic. and others just want to sink a few ships and watch as your torpedo slams into the side of that ship and watch her sink to a watery grave. Thats me i play it for fun. but once again thank you for your time to answer my Question and for the help. may your sub be fast and safe, and your enemies fear you. God speed.

Glad you got it the way you want. Go out a sink 'em all and have fun
That's what the game is about.

As you can see if you want to step up the difficulty there are plenty of helpful captains here. Rockin Robbins being one of them. He is one of the masters of the game as far as I'm concerned.
