How many Bronze stars can one submarine captain be awarded?? I've done three successful patrols and been awarded a Bronze Star at the end of each....why do I feel insignificant to my Lieutenants, handing out Silver Stars to them while their captain is only getting crappy bronze stars?? lol
Enough already!!!! :DL

It means the Admiral might REALLY "like" one (or some) of your crew... unless I misread between the lines. :hmmm:

the medal award is a summary of your last patrol... in your case you made three patrols of similar summary i.e. effort.

Just got back from my 4th patrol. 7 ships sunk for some 16,250 tonnes of enemy shipping sunk.....ANOTHER Bronze Star. Gosh I must be the only captain in the sub fleet to be having 4 Bronze Star medals pinned to my chest.
But in all seriousness, the medal award system has to be gubby. :(
On another note, I was given a new Gato class submarine....farewell to the USS Swordfish but here's to the USS Trigger!!! :salute:
