The Harshest Drunk Driving Lesson

Diane Schuler, the Long Island woman behind the wheel in the Taconic Parkway accident that killed her and seven other people, including four children, was drunk. She was plastered, blitzed, wasted, however you want to put it; her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit, and she was high on marijuana, as well.

It was a Sunday morning, for God's sake.Why did she have enough sense left to pull over and call her brother to tell him she was feeling sick and disoriented, but then get back in the minivan and continue on to their doom?

Sounds more like a really bad hang over/still have drunk situation. But still no excuse that everyone allowed her to drive anyway.

Just one small difference....my wife 'thinks' she's a lawyer :DL
