Tolentino is behind on his mortgage. His maintenance payments are past due. Medical bills are mounting.
His $500,000 scratch-off ticket would have solved all his problems. But as fast and easy as it came, it was gone, and he is in mourning.
"They're gonna see what they can do," he said Monday, his voice shaky. He said he was too distraught to say any more.I feel for the guy ... I really do.
But let me ask a silly question - what the HELL is a guy so far behind on his bills playing the lottery for, especially considering that it was far more likely that he would NOT have won a thing in the first place?
I gotta say - no wonder he's broke. And I'm not surprised that he lost the ticket.

Yeah yeah a bloke that is seriosly in debt goes shopping in a liquor store and buys a mugs gamble then complains that he has lost...my heart bleeds for the poor old bugger.
But hey NYC garbage truck driver ..thats a bloody good health plan , why ain't he covered for his health bills that he cannot pay? Is it because he is a pisshead and the coverage don't cover drinkers ?

Oh sorry , I forgot about your reading problem.Wow, you are a troll ... literally.
Is it possible for you to be anything other than the typical internet troll who only attempts to incite BS flame wars using the same troll tactics and terminology found on teenage-oriented websites? Civility must be SO far beyond your ability, that one would think you're ...
In any case, considering how uninteresting that part was in the article, I missed it, although it was irrelevent to the topic. So sue me, but no need for you to follow me around the forums in a lame attempt to be a jerk. I suppose I should be understanding ... no doubt you're an individual lacking the social skills required to make friends.
