In a democracy, a district of morons will usually elect someone who represents them.

The saddest part is, there are a lot of people here that agree with her 100%. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=385x136620#145023) Oil companies charging too much for gas? Nationalize them. Take control of everything and run the country. We need a five year plan.

I'm stunned! I think I must go away for awhile to digest this anti-EU Mafia response.

Pretty sad if you ask me. 5 years in the military defending freedom and democracy and these yahoos want to trash the very idea that is America.

Gonna be a big cleanup after the 4 years of Obama.

Uh, that is democracy in action. Just not the kind you like to see. I'm all for small government when we have small business too. No loose canons that are too big to fail. No obscene profits and outrageous executive compensations that outrage the working Joe's, and none of this threat of nationalization would exist. You see, it's when government is small and business huge, that nations tend toward fascism. Contrarily, when government is big and business is small, nations tend toward communism. The US has to find a good ratio between government and business to survive as a free democratic capitalistic state, and I fear we have lost sight of that in our collective greed to live beyond our means with huge credit card balances, etc.

The problem, as I see it, is Ms. Waters isn't talking about democracy. She's trying to cover for something else, which isn't democratic.

It won't go anywhere. It's just one wonky rep spewing a stupid idea.

If the Republicans were judged based on every wacky idea lone reps put forward, there wouldn't be any left in office. Same goes for any other political party.
