I am on my sixth patrol with the First Flotilla. I have three times been given War Badges (the round bronze ones) to issue to my crew. I recall issuing the first one to my watch officer. The other two, I cannot seem to issue to anyone. I am told 'must complete a patrol.' All my men have been on at least two patrols.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I'm playing vanilla 1.4, I believe.

Put your mouse a little bit lower or higher and you will be able to give the badge (drag). Or ... leave current screen and end the game. Restart the game and you will see that you can give the war badge. :)

The answer to your problem is.....Install GWX :DL

According to current available data, I will be able to comply with your recommendation in 13 days, 8 hours, 17 minutes. Good thing I started the download this morning.

Haven't used dial-up in ages. I'm on Cable. But Beyond the Shadows is taking a LONG time to transmit. Either that or my ISP is throttling me.

I'm down to five hours. Go me.

BtS takes quite some time to download from, even with small files. Their FTP is either overloaded or I also have bad luck. By comparison, downloading the ArmA 2 demo (2.8GB, I think) took me an hour and a half.

You will not be disappointed..

GWX was too large of a file for me to download on my measly connection, and Neal has a donation page setup that if you donate, say even $10, he'll mail you a CD with all of SubSim files on it.

I feel your pain, seems that BTS has slowed down lately. Maybe my brothers that are more computer savvy can explain why....But I too have seen a slowdown.......
