My new system is running a AMDPhenom 9950+Quad core with AM2+ mount, and I'm considering getting a more efficient CPU Cooler in the interests of longevity and performance and.......(they look damn cool:yeah:)
So people's experiences and knowledge on this would be invaluable:salute:
Any advice greatly appreciated:up:

These guys make the best coolers, but you will pay through the nose for them:

There are alot to choose from.

It comes down to what works best for you at a price you can afford.

There's one out there with YOUR name on it. :DL

Funny, thats exactlly what I've been reading today:03:,they've done some great reviews of CPU coolers,a really good site that:salute:
At the moment I'm considering a Scythe Mugen-2,looks good, good test results and what I'm very impressed about is the mounting system, bolt through the MB,much more secure:03:
I already have 2 120mm Scythe fans in my case as well as a HD cooler so I know the quality is good, and they're fans are very quiet.
I'm looking round at other coolers, and I'd prefer a side2side system rather than a top down cooler,so any recommendations at all, helps:yeah:

Exactly, from what I've been reading it seems to be the best setup to use, cool air is dragged from the front of your case inlet fan across the heatsink and pushed away back out to your waiting exhaust fan mounted on the back of your case:yeah:
Thats in an ideal situation, for some reason though some CPU Coolers point in strange directions, down towards the back of your GFX card:nope: or even up towards the PSU:o:nope: Not exactly the best idea:03:
I've been looking at.
Thermaltake ISGC-200
Scythe Mugen2
Thermalright True Black120
Scythe Katana 3 (Not to sure about this one:hmmm:)

A thermalright "tower" design. Can't be beat. ;)

Using Ultima 90 myself, + 92mm fan. Cool and quiet enough, although you can also put a 120mm fan on that one.

I've got a Arctic-cooling 'Freezer-Xtreme' :yeah:Its a big beast, makes the original cooler setup look very insignificant, everything seems fine at the mo'(touches wood:03:)wasn't to hard to fit, just a bit fiddly, hopefully keep things nice and cool no matter what:salute:
