Captain Alok Bhatnagar, director of naval plans at India’s ministry of defence, said on Thursday that 32 warships and submarines were under construction in the country’s shipyards. Work on 75 more ships, including aircraft carriers, destroyers, frigates and amphibious vessels, would begin over 10 years.

When did the US cut defense spending? Obama increased the DoD's budget by $29 billion. The increase alone is more than the entire budget of most government agencies.

Now I am not arguing the validity of these cuts but saying that cuts are not being made is a falsehood.

It basically shuffling a deck of cards is all. In the end you still have 52 cards, some departments just get more than others.

Congress and Tree Hugger.com were both talking about budget cuts for particular programs. But the overall DoD budget went up by $29 billion.
