Help Me, please!!! [Ohio class sub. related]

Hello. I am SH4 1.4 user [still haven't decided to buy UBM patch].

After clearing career mode once, Now I am starting a new career with Ohio class submarine [Mod made by TomaGabriel and altered for 1.4 by ETR3(ss) ] Thanks to those 2 guys!!! I am enjoying it!!


Ohio sub has periscope depth of 25 meters [much deeper than Balao class I have played] and this is causing some toubles since I can't get close to lands undetected.. I have to surface the boat to blow away docked ships at Jap. ports....

Since I can't make this sub. smaller.. I am wondering if I can change the depth of close shore [ white colored areas near land ]

No i dont think that is possible i have that sub mod i go to the bigger ports insted as i find the sub runs aground or grinds along the bottom of the smaller ports. Midway or pearl harbor has large ports but you can only use that mod on the us side you cannot attack tokyo as that has 2 close ports and a shallow sea bed. You are limited stright with that mod but i love the torpedos and the missiles.

I think the only way to allow Ohio to dive in those shallow ports is to reduce the 3D.

Because changing the depth customisable values would make the tower get out from the water - now if NPCs detect that I got no clue.

As suggestion get the other smaller boat instead (pre-nuke)
