Now I'm impressed. :yep:
You know that guy? :D
After school, eventually joining the merchant navy was a brief thought of mine, too, but at that age, 18, I was lacking the courage, and the prospect of facing the big wide world was intimidating for me. I got my share of travel and adventure, but not before several years later. Nice to see that your courage pays off for you!

Great achievement!!! :salute:
Do they know you spend you spare time sinking British ships?
For a reasonable fee, I am sure we won't "accidently" let that slip out.
:D
That's cool! Congrats to James! :salute:

Its good to see the apple didn't fall far from the tree! Tell your son well done from all of us here at subsim - but more importantly - show him the post - so he can truly see how proud his "old man" is of him. Sometimes thats the easiest way to get it across without being all "I wanna hug".

Add me to in awe of you my friend ... job well done. I served with a young ensign that went on to become a four striper in charge of his own Ohio class submarine. So I know it can be done.
Never give up I always say.
James is on his way now.
Now about that 20,000 pounds a year problem ... :DL
Shouldn't James be the right kind of guy to bring to the subsim meet and
clue him in to the new man pays for all the beers for the first meet :woot:

I am ashamed to say that I was unaware of this until now, and apologize for offering my congratulations so belatedly....
...all the same though... WELL DONE AND GOOD SHOW JAMES AND JAMES!!!:salute:
Jimbuna, I'm sure you are one proud dad!!!:up::up:
Now a little trivia tidbit for you... I happen to know that the great James junior... plays Silent Hunter III with the Grey Wolves mod.... AND USES THE SPYSAT MOD SHOWING HIM WHERE ALL THE SHIPPING IS!!!
< Pokes James junior in the ribs!!! >
< Matey... they didn't have GPS, ELT's and positional transponders back then!!! >
Though I'm sure that a few years from now... James junior will be poking me in the ribs about my being a 'fictional' captain... when he is the real McCoy.
ALL AHEAD FLANK James junior!!!:rock::rock:
