A family friend in Japan got me the 1:200 scale Yamato Super-Battleship model as a graduation present. I have heard/read that it takes 5-7 months to build. I, who works better with deadlines, decided to finish it by college, August 30, 2009.

The model depicts the Yamato in October of 1944. There being no line drawings/plans of her at this time on the internet, I am using a profile picture of her sistership as she looked at the same time.

I decided to share my build with you:

Start Date: July 21 2009

End Date:

This is my first build of this size so any suggestions, tips, etc... would be great and welcomed.

That monster looks like a fun build. Should give you alot of enjoyable hours of build time. :DL :salute:
