Last night my computer restarted, something about Mcafee. Now I have no audio devices? But when I click on "test speakers" they play the test. What the hell happened?

Gee that is strange! Did you check in Device Manager to see if all devices are there? are there any with exclamation marks, may have to uninstall device then re-install.:hmmm:
I assume you have neither sounds in windows or games?

No sounds in games and just that annoying windows alert sound.
Realtek HD audio manger still plays that speaker test, but when I play a game or listen to music I get nothing.

Device manger seems okay, no "!"

Install what though? its the built in sound card

I have sound on youtube buts that is it. No ability to listen to music outside the internet, and no sound in games. But Windows has sound.

Strange indeed. I remember I had a similar problem - turned out it was a rootkit virus (nasty thing I can tell you). Does your anti virus software still work?

McAfee still works, but now i get "generic host process Win32 failure"

Sounds like McAfee has turned into a virus, better do a complete scan to be on the safe side.:-? If this is an error trying to run McAfee then I would do run chkdsk or NDD, if you have errors fix them then re-install McAfee.:hmmm:

Video card now messed up, seeing 'floating' green and blue dots all over. Wiping disk.

Yeh, starting to sound like a dying HDD to me!:hmmm:
If it is a software problem I'd say the register is corrupt.
If a hardware problem then could be any of the following:
Motherboard
Ram
Powersupply
HDD
I'd guess the HDD though!
