tentative return

...good afternoon hunters...

i am making a tentative return to the fold and would very much appreciate a brief 'how to' for a fresh install. at the moment i have a clean install from disc and patched to v1.3. system spec is fine, its just that i have forgotten how to go about the rest of it ie, GWX - MODS - SH COMMANDER etc, or anything else that would be recommended.

Welcome back.:)

GWX is now GWX 3.0 Gold & your game will need to be patched to 1.4b (you say that you have 1.3). You can get GWX from http://thegreywolves.com/ & you can get the latest version version of SH3 Commander (v 3.2) by checking this thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=147237. JSGME is included with GWX so there is no need to go looking for that. Check the Mods Workshop board for your mods & another good place to go is http://bts-mods.com/. This site: http://silent-hunter-addict.com/ is another great place to visit for mods & information too.

thanks all very much for your help and the welcome !

just a few things on my return.....:hmmm:

on approach to the north sea end of Kiel canal as i was leaving on patrol i was repeatedly fired upon by land guns and then a few boats - had to dive to P. depth to get away !!

then i went off for some dinner ( in my own world..) leaving my crew on watch, then an almighty CCRRUUNCHING sound came through the speakers, only to discover i had been rammed by a small merchant !!!!

everthing is alright now after dropping my knife and fork - wine glass slops onto the table, and did a swift avoidance manouver!!

also a couple of CTD's but they seem to have settled out.....crikey blimey, got im himmel!! and all that.....some return !!!
