Actually, you were never alone. The Luftwaffe has always been around often taking your kills. ;) Then there are storms which damage ships and leave them in this condition too.

It's my understanding the GWX did get AI U-Boats to work in a limited way, but they can can't dive which limits them to using their deck guns and which makes them easy prey for escorts. Maybe real wolfpacks will arrive with SH5.

Though it is still really cool to run into a U-boat out in the middle of the North Atlantic on occasion. Helps ya feel not so all alone.:up:

Maybe by the Luftwaffe, maybe by a savage storm (so THIS explains the half sunk escort i came up one day :D ) or maybe a uboat itself. One of those, placed in small convoy managed to steal a VonDos ship kill from me... After taking out the only escort of course. :haha:
