First of all, when I lose two engines, and the other two are Ok, It stays at 0 knots and wont move. Also when you are on the surface, you don,t have the option of running on batterys. I served on the uss Bang SS385 and on the real boats we were able to do both running on two engines and usesing Battery Power on the surface

How about individual controls for each screw while were at it. :yeah:

Your not telling us anything we dont know and have known for a long time its not going to get changed.

The game treats the sub as if it has a two engines, loose them both and its game over.

Yep, there are some issues with the game. All you can do is take a deep breath and enjoy what is great about the game. More good outweighs the bad.

Run the sub as if you were the real skipper under real enemy conditions. In short, protect you ass-ests and the two engine damage deal will not bother your simulation.

Welcome aboard. :salute:

I would LOVE to see this option... twin controls would give a lot more versatility (if modeled correctly in the game).

Dive plane transmission and rudder transmission work visaversa to what it shows in game on version 1.5... if you reach 1 on damage to your dive plane transmission it will let you submerge and surface as usual but you cannot turn at all. So i suspect if you reach 1 on the rudder transmission diving and surfacing will be difficult
Individual engine controls would at least let you get back to a port for repair instead of going till you beach yourself somewhere.

I found out by getting the rear end of my ship get too close to an exploding depth charge in the south china sea, we ran aground on a northeastern portion of a large island about 2 days after the damage occured.
