View Full Version : TarJak's Funkraum
I was messing about with SH3Commander and Google sites the other day and thought I would create a place to put some of my detailed patrol logs.
So far only a couple of them have been uploaded but depending on interest I'll keep creating them and upload as I get time.
I hope you enjoy them: http://sites.google.com/site/tarjaksfunkraum/

Cool! I like it. You keep personal notes during the voyage?
(BTW; Google never ceases to amaze me, never heard of Google sites before)
Very nice, TarJak! I like this "notepad style".;)

My kind of reports! Great to peruse.
Does it cost anything to use that site?:sunny:
Thanks for the comments guys. The site is free to set up and you can make it private to other google account holders, all you need is gmail.
The legal notepad is a stock theme that comes with it but you can create your own themes etc to make it look anyway you want. All I do is create a new page, then cut and paste the HTML from the SH3Commander patrol logs into the HTML editor that is part of the sites engine and save it all. It strips out things like the background etc and you have to edit the links so that it links inside the site but that only takes a little bit more cutting and pasting.
I do keep shorthand notes whilst patrolling and fill them out when I shut down the game. It doesn't take a lot to do as all the info is from what happens in the game with a few minor embellishments from my imagination.
I'm planning to develop some crew plotlines into the reports but in a way that would have been reported in a captains log rather than a story per se.
Hopefully I'll have some time to do some more over the weekend.
Very interesting.
I used to write logs, but haven't done it for some time. But I recently posted one entire patrol on this forum, writing new entries as the events unfolded. I had great fun doing it.
Keep the reports coming...
The only thing that bugs me is that the fonts I'm using in SH3Commander are not able to be seen on the site unless you have them installed on your machine.:hmmm:

Needs an update Herr Kapitan!
Great reading, fantastic report style - gets me right in the mood for a patrol.:)
I'm working on it. Haven't had much time for patrolling the last few weeks. Maybe this weekend.
