NYGM Tonnage War v2.5 - Submerged problem.

It's 1940 and I have a IXB sub. The problem that I have is strange. The IXB cannot keep periscope depth (12 meters) at 2 knots speed?

The only way to keep the sub at a certain depth is full speed (7 knots), all below 7 knots and the sub cannot keep her depth?

Is it a problem (bug in NYGM) or is this authentic?

Thanks for any help! :yep:

This is another example of the 'Crash Dive Blues'.

It is a bug in the original game, but it is worse with NYGM because the U-boat is trimmed to sink at slow speed.

THe problem has been described many times in the past, for example:

Follow the solution given in the link, and you will have no more problems.

Thanks Stiebler! :yep:

I understood everything.

But what will happen if you do not use C (crash dive) or D (dive) and point with your mouse a specific depth e.g. 30 meters because you just want to listen around?

Will NYGM keep depth at 30 meters at a speed of 2 or 3 knots?

Pointing to a depth with your mouse is a 'Dive' not a 'Crash-dive'. So you should be able to maintain depth at 2 knots easily ... *provided* that you do not use the mouse to interrupt a crash-dive by changing depth, and you have not interrupted a crash-dive previously.
