Are there UFOs in SH3?

Getting out of Pantelleria after raiding it, I rasied my scope to look around. Then I saw some strange objects in the sky.
Soon after, the game crashed to desktop.
I had another CDT before, also while raiding Pantelleria, but the first time it happened I didn't see these objects.
Anyone knows what may have caused this?

I think I know what these things are: the British made a secret pact with aliens, who infiltrated SH3 (and maybe GWX? :D) developers and made a special weapon, which causes crash to desktop and corrupted saved game. It's much more effective than depth charge.

I don't know. I was too busy getting away from the harbor, and then the game crashed. I'll reload a previously saved game and do it again, maybe I'll see it again (hope not).

All right, meduza, there was no alien. The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Hmm..yes there are UFO's in SH3. Mostly, it is Unidentified Floating Objects, but you tend to know what it is sooner or later. :DL

I managed to finish this patrol, without seeing aliens and without CTDs!

I arrived a day earlier then before and sank half an invasion fleet. The Pantelleria fell anyway.
