SH3 steam version widescreen

Hi, I have Silent Hunter 3 on Steam, along with SH4 + the addon. Also, I installed the GWX mod, which I heard this mod is the best. I played this game for a while and I liked it, but disliked the resolution. Later on, I looked up the google about the widescreen fix and tried out the dx9res fix. I installed it and the game crashed when I start it. :damn: I figured it out that it was Starforce or something else.

Any dicussion to help me fix it? :cool:

I have tried many times to get the wide screen/high resolution fixes to work and can't. Apparently some machines just won't do it.

It stopped working for me with Windows 7 RC1. Have yet to find a Windows 7 RC1 computer that the widescreen mod works on. I think something with DirectX 11 breaks it. Must need an update of some sort. Sadly, I doubt we'll get one.
