Finnaly passed my Boat leader competence test and got my licence. Now I am allowed to sail any motorboat or sailboat under 24 metres. Not enough for a type VII, maybe a type II, but definatelly for a small commercial sub or a Japanese kamikaze torpedo ;)

Congratulations. You're doing better than me. This is the only watercraft I am qualified to sail. :)

Torplexed, don't worry. You can also handlel a boat if theres at least one with the licence on board, so rent a jacht and invite a couple od dozen babes and as long as I'm on board you can handle the boat. And I'll handle the girls

Sailor Steve, you don't want this piece a junk I call computer, it's days are numbered and in the autumn I buy a new one and the it's only going to be as usefull as a foot stool... or maybe an anchor

And thanks everybody, if you need a skiper, just contact me :03:

Looks like you were wrong clever clogs...It's some kind of "stableizer thingy" for stabilising the boat :smug:

Its a BULB on a KEEL. Trust me,I work in a boatyard, something I do and see everyday. It's used for balancing a sailboat, because the mast gives it a high center of gravity maing it easier to capsize. The bulb is extremly heavy and it lowers the center of gravity under the waterline to make the boat stable. :know:

What you don't know is there's a life-sign and booze sensor hidden inside it, so that we boatbulders know when there's a lone woman and a lot of drink on board. We don't want to make a visit when the husband/boyfriend is on board :arrgh!:

Sounds plausible to me....and saves me stabbing another guess at something like 'an underwater schnorkel'. :DL
