I know this is an oldish game, but im loving every minute. From killing off pesky agents with nefarious traps (my fav. combo at the moment is: pressure sensor->set of fans->into gas chamber:D. this is the only one, as im yet to research more traps), to killing of minions just for the fun of it. One item I just "accuired" id the Frikkin Laser!
Another thing, im dreading Super Agents......

You'll absolutely hate the James Bond equivalent. He is the worst. You'll find out why too. Good thing he is really late in the game before you see him. The American Super Agent is also not good (He will make you laugh when you first see him though), but the James Bond one is hands down the worst.

I used to build a section in my mountain for nothing more than traps. Agents can't stand seeing a locked door. Letting the bodies pile up inside is not a bad thing either because no one will ever find them unless they are about to die themselves as well!

Yep, the James Bond guy is really Nasty :shifty: I can tell you this game is hellishly addictive.
So much so that one of the managers at work, having played it too much, suggested we all start dressing in Yellow coveralls with white hard-hats :hmmm:

Obviously we had to blow up his desk before he tried to hold the world hostage with his doomsday device:D

Enjoy playing this, oh and don't go for the second Island unless you have a BIG cash reserve.

Outside shacks with locked doors and traps are also good for distracting agents, and don't waste time on a hotel, I've never found the hassle of it worthwhile.

Yeah, one thing I really liked about Evil Genius was overall quality of the game from the illustrations to the music...its very sad that one of the developers died...I really liked the soundtrack:

Just started the first island again, as my layout was getting a bit crowded, so like suggested on the forums I planned the layout first - much better. Also loving killing off minions when I feel like it - does wonders to improve overall loyalty.

I played the game a while ago (Damn good game, too), but IIRC if you follow everything you need to do you will eventually get an act of infamy that involves buying a new island

I have this game on my portable hard drive. Its uber fun. The tourists get annoying though. They don't seem to use the areas I set up for them and always end up wandering into my base. Which leads to their minds being erased or them being killed off. What's everyone's favorite Evil Genius?
Mine is Max.

By the way, the people who preordered the game way back in 04 got a bonus disk with an extra Henchman and a couple of extra items. You can get it for free at http://www.evilplanet.com/.

I just found a copy of the games predecessor, Republic: The revolution, going to try it out. You can see footage of on the projector in the archives.

Extra henchmen? Hmm.

Anyway, when a super agent showed up on my islands, I usually locked my Henchmen in a room somewhere except for the one I planned on beating the Super Agent with. That way the rest of them didn't do anything stupid, such as wander....

The extra Henchman looks like the hunter from Jumanji. Basically your stereotypical British born hunter, dressed in khaki with an over large rifle.

I always hated when I'd put my base in Red alert because of an attack, and the Russian dude with the large bazooka would rush over and end up blowing up my minions along with any equipment I had in the area.

I picked him too. Almost a mistake I would say. He blew up everything.

He's good if you use him outside.

I found the best way to make him not fight inside, is to station him infront of a level 3 or 4 door, and not have a loud speaker in that room.
