The Pro Pilot ???

While at a Liquidator warehouse I spied this software : The Pro Pilot Flight Companion.

Came with 2 Cd's , 288 page manual, and 2 large reference cards.

It's by SIERRA \ Dynamix

Anyone here have this or heard of it ?

Yeah I know it. Pro pilot 98 and Pro pilot 99 I've purchased and used. I still have 99 and it was pretty good compared to what MS offered at the time (1998/99). Think of it as playing an older subsim if you want it. I haven't used it for a good while, but can look the stuff over again. I remember the graphics seemed a step up and it had ATC chatter.

I have only looked at a bit of it so far but, the dash on the Cessna 172 looks the same as the 172 VC dash in FSX.

Kinda strange huh ? There's a couple of other things the same too.

I remember it. The physics were such that using the word "simulation" is forbidden. I flew stunts and manouvers in it that would be impossible.

I do not think of it as an "oldie but goldie". Old it is, but gold it never was, imo. I would have rated MS98 better, and it was offering more.

I totally disagree with Skybird on this Sim. The 288 pg manual alone is worth the price of a Sim today.

The grafics and engine are yesterdays news by todays standards but, it is pure Sim
