Dive planes won't extent at times?

I have noticed that the front dive planes won't extend at times no matter what sub I have. Is this a bug or the way it should be in real life?

Never noticed it before but now I have checked and it happens only if I order periscope depth, if I order dive planes center normal then they will work.

Yes, it's a graphics problem only. Your boat's diving behavior is the same whether they extend or not. This is an inherent game problem, not connected with any mods or mod combination.

It is the bugs like this that have me saving each night during patrol. If you get the dive planes bug simply reload your last save that should get rid of it.If not exit to windows and come back. Dont fear "keeping" the bug though if you have to save at a point when you have the planes bug simply reload and it should be gone.Like RR said it is a purely visual bug no actual effect on diving but it bugs me anyway.
