Hi there!
After a long absence I wanted to sub again, was happy finding out about the new GWX3.
So deinstalled, clean install, patched to 1.4b, installed GWX3, everything went fine.
But when I startup (doesn't matter if with or without SH3 commander) the game and the mouse freeze at the screen where you can choose training, career, single mission and so on.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
Thx in advance

I would try to instal DirectX which came with the game installation if you skipped that option..

Reinstalled the media codecs and direct x, to no avail...

Damn I could swear I had this problem once, but I just can't remember what I've done to make it vanish :-?

What OS are you using?
Also, does the mouse leave trails on the screen?

Win XP Home Ed.
The mouse doesn't move at all...stuck right in the middle of the screen.
More infos on my system if this helps:

Put a piece of cheese at either extremity of your screen and see if that tempts it to move :hmmm:
j/k :DL
Check your USB or PS/2 (or whatever mouse type your using) is securely connected/plugged in and you might also try going to System in the Control Panel, Hardware, Device Manager and check your mouse is recognised by the computer and it's properties are troublefree. (I suspect it will be plug n play though).

Hm but wouldn't then my mouse not work at all if it wasn't connected properly?
I think I'll stick with the cheese then :D

Hmm, must correct my initial post. The game is NOT stuck, it's just the mouse that won't move...(game reacted to esc key)
But as it moves very well on the loading screen I do not suppose it is a general dislike between my mouse and sh3 (and it worked earlier on some months ago when I last played the game).

So...Reinstalled a clean 1.0 stock version, tried it - worked fine.
Patched to 1.4b, tried it - worked fine.
Currently installing GWX3, will report later if it is now working as intended...nagging wife wants dinner...should I tell her rations are short and we have to conserve food so no dinner today? :hmmm:
