Pachino lost me with his over the top act long ago. Sorry but I cannot suspend my disbelief when it comes to him.
He was good in the Godfather where he was low key but beyond that he was type casted as a schmuck.. it seems to fit.

You do know that you can't just say "It's Socialism!" and be correct, right? Socialism refers to a HUGE variety of political theorems. Be specific. Is he a Social Liberal, a Social Democrat, a Social Utopian . . .?
Technically, though, the United States has been a Social Democracy since Theodore Roosevelt shut down mainstream Capitalism by enacting child labor laws and regulated corporations a hundred years ago, in addition to creating environmental protection laws and turning the economy into a mixed one.

What makes me cry?
Purity.
Because it is so rare in this world
In my professional life, I only see the ugliness of the world, seldom the good. I exploit weaknesses and always seek to tear down strengths. I question motives and ideals and subvert them for my nation's agendas. I trust no one and strive to break the trust between others. That's my job. I look at all that is corrupt. When ever I see good, I continue digging until I find the evil. Been doing it for almost 30 years and it changes a man.
So much that I cry when I see purity.
Just last Friday, I drove down to Richmond to see The Frau's youngest graduate from High School. At the family dinner, many people got up and gave a speech. Now understand that this family is a solid red-neck family from the country. And they are proud of it!
Without fanfare or fancy rhetoric, each one of them go up and ineloquently spoke of their love for each other and gratitude for all the family did for each other.
I was not a part of this family. I am just the guy who is F-ing the ex-wife. Frankly, I don't even like most of that family. But that family loved each other even when they were fighting. They supported each other even when they were individually F-ing up their lives. They stay together even when they can't stand each other.
I am a big tough guy. Strong and sardonic. Jaded and cynical at the world. I was not the only one crying that evening.
Purity makes me cry because there is simply not enough of it in this world. As the Irish say: Give me a true love or an honest hate.
At the graduation ceremony, they played the National Anthem. I am not a flag waver. I don't have smarmy magnets on my car extolling whatever pithy saying the Chinese think I will buy. I can look equally at what my country does right and wrong. I recognize that our national agendas do not always correlate to what is right or wrong.
Yet I do cry when I am standing, facing the flag, while singing the National Anthem silently to myself while the music plays. Despite all the wrong things the United States as done, and honestly we have done our share of wrong things, it is still my country. I have dedicated the last 30 years of my life to supporting my country and, hopefully, I will be in a position to dedicate the next 30 years to this cause.
The Frau's oldest daughter (21) was standing next to me, and she snickered when she saw me crying. Not cruelly but she was confused as why this old man would cry over this stupid song. All I could think is that perhaps she has not earned the right to cry during the National Anthem. I hope that one day, she may earn that right. But then again, perhaps she shouldn't. I honestly don't know.
These are some of the things that make me cry.
