SH III, 64bit Vista and Windows 7

Hello everyone. My first time here in about a year. Great deal has changed.:salute:
I now have a new laptop. !7 inch HP 9700 Pavillion with lots of powwa...lol:D
Question: Is there anyway to get my retail ver SH III to run on 64bit Vista? Also I partitioned the hard drive and downloaded Windows 7 RC. Loaded every game I have and most ran first try EXECPT SH III.:cry: Damn starforce protection drivers ! I tried the updates but no luck. Downloaded and ran the removal tool. Once again no luck. :damn: Talked to Ubisoft support and was told to get a machine that would meet the system requirements on the bottom of the box. :damn: Read on another forum about downloading game from Ubisoft cured a lot of problems. :)
I could use some help and input from my fellow fleet commanders. :ping:

There is a stickey thread on Vista; and yes the game runs well on Vista 64.
The suggestion is to get the new DVD of SHIII, which is starforce free, patched to 1.4b, and allows the game to run without the DVD in the drive. The cost is $9.99.

If you use this and install it outside of the program and progarm (86) folders, it will run without any problems.
