Shame.

Henry Allingham will be 113 this June 6th and Harry Patch will be 111 on June 17th.

Another Generation passes into the pages of history, their stories and experiences now only saved by what recordings and writings they leave behind. May those who served, rest peacefully :salute:

According to this video, there are only five World War I veterans left:

1) Stanley Choules, Britain
2) Henry Allingham, Britain
3) Harry Patch, Britain
4) John Babcock, Canada
5) Frank Buckles, United States

I had forgotten that Yakup Satar had died last year.

No more Central Powers veterans... only five Entente ones left...

I hate to say this, but reviewing last year's total of 12 that died, it seems very likely that all of them will be gone by next year, if not before the closing of this year.
