happy memorial day to all the veterans here on subsim and everywhere and also to all the submarine commanders here and on eternal patrol have a wonderful memorial day today and i will be back on tuesday im going to yankee air force in belleville mi today to see the b-17 yankee lady fly once again for our nations veterans have a wonderfu day everyone

While I understand your intent, I don't know if I agree with the statement "Happy Memorial Day"

There are many emotions that go through my head during Memorial Day.

Pride
Sadness
Hope
Respect
Anger (yes, anger)
Confusion
Awe
Gratitude
Relief

But I can't say that I have ever been "happy" about a day of remembrance for our honoured dead.

But I understand and appreciate your intent. :salute:

If you have not had a chance to visit the Korean War Memorial in Washington, DC, I can highly recommend it.

There is a plaque with a saying that always brings tears to my eyes

"OUR NATION HONORS HER SONS AND DAUGHTERS WHO ANSWERED THE CALL TO DEFEND A COUNTRY THEY NEVER KNEW AND A PEOPLE THEY NEVER MET"

How often was this true?
