when u have to hunt down and engage merchants do fishing boats and freighters count as merchants?

From the point of view as the game: yes. Everything that is not a warship (so everything listed in the rec manual under *merchant* is ... well ... a merchant :DL.

In reality, fisherboats would form their own kategorie of vessel, as would passenger ships or troop transports.

and if u use the AA gun on a boat when theres no ammo left in the deck gun is there any spot u can aim at that can cause the ship to be destroyed faster?
