Nav Map Problems

I notice that when I view the NAV MAP with a contact present and zoomed in, my computer really slows down , I mean really sloooooows down ! I can zoom in with no contacts and see a little or none of a preformence loss , no big deal there . On the surface in front of a convoy , no problem there either . Its just the NAV MAP view zoomed in with a contact . Any ideas ?

It kinda started this 2 or 3 patrols ago ... the video driver is up to date ... and again its just the zoomed map with a contact only

I had that with GWX 3.0 mate. I'd been away from the game for a while and the last version I played was 1.3 (ran fine), so I naturally assumed my rig just couldn't handle 3.0. I uninstalled and found out 2.1 ran OK.

I did some housekeeping on the hard-drive and registry, and everything started running even better - so I'm going to give 3.0 another try; fingers crossed.

So far, the navmap is OK zoomed-in when I'm in harbour with a few ships moving around; so hopefully it should be the same with contacts at sea.

So, if you've not already tried it, I'd advise cleaning up a bit and see if that helps. Good luck anyway mate, and let me know what works for you.
