well, i finally baught a new computer (needed to, my ancient 5 year old IBM, was beginning to rot out,) got a asus laptop (the same one that i posted specs on a week earlier) and it's running SH4 like a charm, anyways, i no maybe u've guys have answered this before, but i had orders to drop an agent ...did that, then patrol the luzon straits, stayed in the star area 50 miles, for 24 hours...no order completetion, how do i complete this objective...It's december 18th, and also when does my home base of manila fall into japanese hands, and where from there do i need to set sail?:hmmm:,

The star should turn gray as soon as you drop off the agent, you won't get further orders till you call in. If the star didn't gray out something is wrong and maybe you will have to go to a save to complete the mission, if you have one?????? I always save before I enter a harbor etc. just in case.

Don't remember the date Manila falls but probably before you finish this patrol.
Next base will be Surabaya Java. You should get a radio message about it.
Watch your fuel because Surabaya falls soon after but you should finish before then.

I think you have to stay in your patrol area for 48 hours, sometimes a bit more it seems. Don't stray out or the clock will re-set. Afterward you are free to go where you want unless you call in then you will most likely be given another task, not one you will always like. I hate recons for example.

48 hours...dang...alright, quick advise from fellow skippers, im in a S class, with only 2 torps left, it's december 18th, and im near the harbor of manila, after stalking a convoy, should i reload (torps, fuel) there then head to luzon straits again, or just head up straight to luzon?

Check your messages. If you're using mods you can get different ranges and times to stay in the zone? Can't remember stock, but I would think it would tell you how long you have to stay in the zone. With some mods you have to stay 96 hours.
