Hello guys,

it seems I'm not going to fly with you for some time. My father has had a stroke yesterday (one of many as they found out in hospital) and is now in coma. It doesn't look that good but we haven't given up hope yet.

Maybe I will join you in a couple of days again to get distracted from that, but until then you have to do without me.http://fwc493.250free.com/5/BulletSad.gif

Schroeder, although I understand no words can relieve the unique sorrow and your loss, I do hope that it does help in some way to know that many of us here do know from experience what your are going through and wish you peace in the weeks and month ahead, and a time when good memories replace the grief one feels.

Thank you again mates.
I think the worst is over (or at least I hope so, the funeral will be tough for sure). Right now I'm feeling strangely normal. Well we knew since Saturday that there was no way back. The doctors told us that after the failed operation and unsuccessful attempts to dissolve the thrombus with medical substances there were only two possible ends for this.
1. Death
2. "Living" with a dead brain stem which means being totally paralysed, and depending on machines to stay alive. That would definitely been the worse outcome since my father loved to take walks and explore the world.

From time to time I still feel very sad but it is getting more seldom and doesn't last as long any more as before. Maybe I will even be flying with some of you again this evening.
