Willkommen an bord!
Du bist im richtigen ... englischen forum :haha:
Ich rate dir auf english zu schreiben wenn du Hilfe bekommen willst, denn nicht viele Leute hier können deutsch verstehen.:D

Wellcome aboard!
You are in the right ... english forum
I advice you to speak in english if you want to get help, as not many people here can understand german.
I will now translate his question, so you guys can see if you can help him
"Hope I'm in the right forum! After installing NYGM 2.5 the game runs wonderful, but the u-boat goes down when silent-running. Any hepl with that - thanks in advance!"

in nygm at slow speeds of 1 to 2 knots u will sink to bottom
nygm is like real ww2 subs if u move to slow under water u sink
in nygm at slow speeds of 1 to 2 knots u will sink to bottom
nygm is like real ww2 subs if u move to slow under water u sink
That's neat. Do you know if this is also true in GWX? Would be awesome.
In GWX it is in fact the opposite. The buoyancy model is made to let your boat rise a bit from the ordered depth if speed is too slow. Both alternatives are realistic, in fact. Buoyancy is very difficult to keep right, an U-boat in the water is like a balloon in the air, a very slight change in wieight causes it to slowly raise or sink, the balance is very very difficult. In a submerged object it is not as bad, but then again there are factors like water salinity, temperature, etc. that will make it harder.
Thus, U-Boats went under water with either positive or negative buoyancy and were kept at level thanks to the diving planes. No speed, or not enough speed= not enough lift/downdrag from the dive planes = you can't keep steady depth.
Wether the boat had negative or positive buoyancy, depended on the situation. Hence, both NYGM and GWX are realistic.

@Heinrich Ajax
Ich glaube du solltest den Titel des Threads ändern.

He can't, but I did it for him as moderator :salute:

The U-boat certainly should not sink at 1-2 knots with NYGM.
Perhaps the U-boat is damaged?
However, it is very likely that this is another example of the famous 'Crash-dive blues' (How can one say that in German?)
If you change the diving depth after starting a crash-dive, for example to 150 metres, *before* the U-boat has levelled out at its crash-dive depth, then you will find it difficult to control the depth at 1-2 knots. This is a bug in the stock game, but it is worse with NYGM because of the diving model.
The solution is to rise slowly to a depth above the crash-dive depth, and then crash-dive again, allowing the U-boat to settle at its crash-dive depth before trying to go deeper. The crash-dive depth for most (but not all) of the U-boats in NYGM is 80 metres.

At first, thank you for answering my question so soon.
The U-boat is not damaged. I think it is realy another "crash dive blues", because it sinks only after an alarm-diving!
If there was no crash-dive during the mission, the boat does not sink at 1-2 kts.
So I will try to rise slowly in the depth :D
