Hi!

Has anybody tried running SH3 on an EeePC 1000 or similar netbook?
Any luck?
I've been apprehensive to try because from what I'm told if I try make an ISO of my disc Starforce will cause my DVD-Drive to spontaneously combust and signal the black helicopters to my location for kidnapping and probing. :o

I really wish I knew where my SH1 disc ran away to... :nope:

Cheers, Luke

The only thing you have to fear, is fear itself. :DL

That said, Doe's it have the specs and power to play SH-3 ?

i think it would work. i have an eee 900 and i think it would be marginal for me but for you it would be ok. as far as starforce, i think you're on your own. i don't think the moderators here like us to recommend anything else.

Possibly, possibly not. I've got some 3D games running okay but they're a little older than SH3.

It runs Sub Command but not Dangerous Waters, it'll run Ghost Recon 1 No one Lives Forever 2 and supposedly SH2 but I don't really want to bother with it.

A 1000 is basically a 900 in a bigger chassis so if it works/doesn't for one i'd imagine it would ('nt) for the other.
I personally am not really interested in starforce controversies, SH3's been on my PC for years with no probs but I only just started tinkering with ISO creation and stuff recently and don't want to FUBAR my PC :)

Say, are there any online stores like GOG.com and Steam that sell SH1? I had a copy of SH1CE but don't know where its gone, and it is probably the first ever game i've lost...Weird...

Thanks for the ideas anyway guys!
