View Full Version : Cat killer in my area

About 5 blocks away from my house is this area known as Whispering Pines, its mostly Middle class housing. Lately there have been bizarre cat deaths in the area. The cats are not only being killed, but being cut open and having their hearts removed. And then being left out in the open for people, and kids to find.

Metro-Dade police put a couple units in the area at night to try and catch the person or persons doing this. At around 4 am in the morning they left. One of the police officers who lives in the area woke to one of the dead cats in his front yard.

I personally think this is either a group of teenagers who think its funny, which is just wrong, :nope: or the signs of a serial killer in the making.

I'm not really worried about it yet because its only confined in that area.

What is everyones opinion on this, and what do you guys think it is or is not?

Clear sign, someone has issues in the head.

This is just one individual. The cats and other animals come first. Courage to go big(human killings) is just around the corner. They need to find him.

Along a quiet street in Cutler Bay, neighbors awoke last week to a startling discovery: mutilated cats left on display in the yards of family homes. Some skinned, others sliced across the stomach -- the bodies were left like talismans in some horror movie.

I live in Cutler Bay, I thought it was just limited to whispering pines.

That's pretty sick. Probably some *ssh*le with some pretty deep problems!!:nope: There are several unsolved dog poisonings in the Greater Toronto area. In 2004 somebody left hotdogs laced with anti-freeze in an off leash dog park in the east end of the city. Several dogs died lingering painful deaths. A couple of months ago someone else left some white powdery substance in another dog park in Oakville to the west of us. Several dogs got sick but I can't remember if any of them died.

What's worse is within the last 2 weeks some sick SOB left razorblades in a park used by disabled kids in Hamilton. Fortunately they were discovered before any of the kids got hurt.

The cats would just go missing in that case. :O:

My girlfriend and I were discussing this the other day, and both came to the conclusion that this guy must be really whacked if he's actually watching the cats to see where they come from, and then returning them a week or more later.

What is scary is, my block which has not been bothered yet, has at least 7 cats, including one of mine.

Well, the other culprit(if a cat) has learned to put the cut open bodies of cats on top of fences and such. I suspect it is not another cat.

My guess is that it is most likely some weird Asian medicinal thing and someone is selling it, or some satanic cult. Watch out for your dogs too if you live near China town in some cities.

If it is a crazy person, on one hand it is just a cat, but on the flip side if its some weirdo flipped out crazed single person doing this, then maybe this will progress into hurting actual people. He should be caught and then helped if at all possible.

Being Asian myself, I thought that statement was rather odd. I doubt this is for some sort of "harvest", seeing how there are much easier and less conspicious ways to do so. Namely, not leaving them out in the sidewalk or kidnapping them from owners who would know they were missing. Besides, if there is a group of people who believe that cat hearts provide some sort of benefit, there will be one that would hold it's testes in an equal light. Why only hearts? Obviously not for business.

This is some nut, or some retards who need to assure themselves of their superiority over.... small felines. A harvester would have "adopted" a pet from a shelter, which sadly does occur.

Man those markets in Bangkok to Vietnam to Cambodia, they will chop one part off an animal and discard the rest. Its pretty disgusting.

True subman - some markets will. Others wont.

Some places here take aborted fetus's and harvest them for stem cells.... Thats pretty disgusting too.

Each culture has their own bits of "weirdness", but given the description of what is happening - especially the cats being placed for "display" by the sound of it - they have a whack job on their hands, not a Asian cook.

If the cats are on display, as in meant to be found, then we might have the makings of a serial killer on our hands. I can possibly understand a motive of removing an annoying cat that wakes one up in the middle of the night constantly, but not one where.

I still think it might be some sort of cult too. Many cults in the past have sacrificed animal hearts to their gods or demons. The display of the cat would also fall in line with this.

I saw a Stephen King movie and forget the title at the moment, but in it some one would kill cats and impale then on the iron fence of the graveyard. Very creepy image, but I guess it is possible for some wierd occult pratice to venture into such strange behavior.

We had a neighbour back home when I was growing up who decided to take pretty drastic action concerning another neighbour's wandering cat. Tinkebell was let out every night by her owner Mrs. DeGrey & got into the habit of getting into & digging up Mr. Lanctot's garden. Mr. Lanctot got pretty tired of his flower garden being used as a kitty comfort station and put out a leg snare. Here's where everything went horribly wrong: the cat managed to get her head through the snare & strangle herself! As if that wasn't bad enough Mrs. DeGrey was the president of the local SPCA chapter!:nope: If I remember correctly Mrs DeGrey took Mr. Lanctot to court & won a judgement against him; $250 or something like that.

Mr. Lanctot developed lung cancer a few years later & died and the DeGrey's moved out of the neighbourhood. It seems to me that somehow, in some way, Tinkerbell got even with Mr. Lanctot in the end...:D

Salem's Lot or Pet Semetary?

It seems to me that this is either related to cult killings or a sociopath kid in the making. Methinks, however, it's the latter, especially after I read about how a few were set up in posing positions (statistically, most cults that perform ritual killings dispose of the body in some manner or another; they don't play with them after they've used them for whatever purpose intended).

I would look into the schools in the area, see if anything checks out there (maybe a kid with a history of mental illness, or maybe some of the more quiet kids; check them out as possible leads). But for the time being, I think they ought to set up cameras in the area to see if they can't capture the culprit on video. Hell, maybe even have a few patrol cars loiter around at night.

Did they question any of the neighbors yet?
